Sunrise Service

Mary, Desiree, and I got up at 4:30 a.m. today to go to the Agua Dulce Easter sunrise service, depicting the trial, crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus Christ at Vasquez Rocks County Park. The event was sponsored by the Alliance of Christian Churches of Agua Dulce and Acton and presented as a community worship ministry.

They had Live music and a reenactment of biblical events of Christ's last hours. I was glad I went, even though it was early. It was cold there.

Coincidentally, our old friends, Vince and Diane, were sitting RIGHT next to us.

I'm glad I took time out today, this Easter, to remember Jesus, and the reason for the holiday.

Katie's Easter pictures.

I tried taking pictures of Katie for Easter this year, but she was NOT cooperative!

I did manage to get a few good pictures of her though, despite the fact that she did NOT want to look at me. All she wanted to do was eat.

Maybe we took the pictures at dinner time? LOL. She refused to wear her bunny ears and started crying when it was time to wear her hat.

Tomorrow we're going to the Poppy fields to take pictures. I hope we can get nice pictures of her.

Over Jason

So my new favorite AIs are Carly and David Cook. Jason bores me now. He's gawky and that's endearing, but every song sounds the same.

Anniversary

It would have been 14 years of marriage for Bobby and I, today. Instead, I'm here, alone.

Kinda sad. I miss him still, but there is still anger at what he did to Heather and I. I guess I'll never get past this.

Carrie Underwood/Keith Urban

I went to the Carrie Underwood/Keith Urban concert last night with Desiree.

Both were soooo good, but I especially liked Keith Urban. He was a great entertainer. He went into the crowd and shook hands, he signed a guitar and gave it to someone random, he threw out towels, he played guitar and piano, he dedicated a song to his wife, Nicole. He was really awesome and so handsome!

I had a great time. I'm so glad I got to go. The only problem is that we were on the VERY top row, almost parallel to the stage, so yeah..our seats sucked, but it was still so cool!

New Car and things

So I traded in my car this week and got another one. The same thing, but in a Sport model, which includes cruise control and rims. I didn't want to extend the payments, but I need a decent car for work.

I'm hoping to refinance my car this week for a lower interest rate through the credit union.

I'm not doing as much overtime as I was, so I have to do what I can to secure myself financially and make sure my payments are as low as they can be.

I want to do so much in the house right now, but it seems like I never have enough money to get them done. I want a new roof, a landscaper for the front yard, new flooring, a patio. It goes on and on.

Easter is coming up and Katie has a beautiful little dress. She's as cute as can be in it. She looks like a tiny bell. LOL.

Last night was Blake's birthday party at Vince's. It was nice to have everyone together again for a while. It was especially nice to see Ashley. I miss her. I rarely get to see her since Debbie has stopped talking to me. She's joined track. She's always doing something. That's what I like about her. She's never afraid to do things and be involved. She motivates me.

I have been having headaches for the past week, ever since the time change took place. I guess my body had to readjust.

Mondays

I babysit Katie on Mondays from 3:30-10:00. She's so much work! Lol. She needs constant attention! But I have fun with her. I gave her a bath, walked her around the neighborhood, introduced her to the mail man, who by the way had horrendous breath. I'm not sure if she smelled it too, but all of a sudden she broke into a million tears, so she may have. I had to take her back into the house.

I can't wait til' it warms up and she can spend more time outdoors playing. Right now it's too cold for her so she's stuck inside. I got her a nice Step 2 Big Splash pool from a yard sale. It comes with a slide. She's going to have fun with it.

She cracks me up with all the stuff she does. Yesterday I took her to Wal-Mart and she rode around in the cart. In the car, she stared at David non-stop. Soon, they'll be playing together. Once she can stand up and walk.

I got her a dolly. She seems to like her. I pretend I'm taking turns feeding each of them. She doesn't like it when it's Drowzy's turn. She can feed herself now, so I put cereal on the high chair and let her eat that. She had it all smushed into her hands and then started to pull at her hair, which made her hair stand up on end like gel. LOL. I had to give her a bath after that. She likes the bath. I need to get her some more bath toys, though.
