Today is 6 years since Bobby passed away. I still think about him every day. I miss him always. I loved him so much and I'm sure as much as any woman has ever loved a man.
I imagine I always will.
If you plan on going out tonight, be careful of drunk drivers, shooters, people being careless. Don't drink, be a parent first, and get home safely.
I'm glad to be saying goodbye to 2008. It was hard for a lot of people. I was blessed in 2008, despite the economy. God took care of me this year, like every year. I didn't go hungry, the kids had a good Christmas, I was warm enough in the winter, I had a safe running car, I was cool in the summer, all my needs were met, and my family members were all safe.
I pray for 2009 and for the changes taking place. For Madison, who has yet to be born, for David, who's leaving for the Army. I know it will be hard on Heather. For Katie, who's daycare is up in the air. I know that in all things though, God works them out, so I have to trust in him.

Cat Hunting
Heather went to the movies today, so Katie and I went cat hunting again. She's a world class cat hunter and likes to go at least once everytime she comes to visit.

Katie Loves her Wubbzy

Christmas 2008
Desiree's Camera on the left. Heather's on the right. These were their big gifts this year. They've been wanting nice cameras for so long.
Katie was woken up and her cheeks were flushed from laying on them.
You can see who ended up with all the balloons.Christmas was so much fun. Katie got her Wubbzy stuff, Hannah got her Yo Gabba Gabba, and David got lots of clothes mostly, and some toys. Hannah loved her Yo Gabba Gabba doll and was dancing around like crazy. We were laughing so much, watching her dance. She was shaking her tiny little legs and hands so fast.
Afterwards, they got on the roller coaster. The loved it. They kept taking turns and Hannah kept complaining that she wasn't getting her turn. David, once again, monopolized it, and Katie, who was afraid at first, loved walking up and down the track.

Almost ready for Christmas
I stayed home from work today and cleaned and cooked for Christmas.
Luke 2:8-14 “And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night. And lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid. And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord. And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger. And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying,
Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.
Merry Christmas!
I made traditional Thanksgiving Day food, really. Turkey, yams, stuffing, asparagas (yum), mashed potatoes, broccoli, and rolls. My mom is bringing a ham. Mary is supposed to bring the drinks.
(a couple years ago my brother brought a bloody turkey for Thanksgiving. yikes)
I forgot to add butter to my stuffing initially. I cooked it half way and plan to do the rest after the turkey, but noticed it was umm...dry. What in the world. Then I realized I didn't add any butter. Duh. It is good though. I basically followed the way my mom makes that too, but just didn't add as much sage. Hers is usually green. People always ask "WHY IS IT GREEN?"

This is a great old Maine recipe, moist and spicy. The bread actually tastes even better the day after it is baked. Great for holiday gift giving!"
