Wubbzy Party

I started getting Wubbzy things for Katie's upcoming birthday in June. Wubbzy rings and stickers so far.

Relaxing Day

This morning, Mary and I got up early and went to yard sales. We got all kinds of silly things. Afterwards, I had to work. I had to monitor a visit at the park. It was such a nice day out that when I got home, Mary and I came back to the park with Katie and David. The girls were studying.
It was so nice out.
Katie played with the balls for a bit.

and put them all in order.
Then she went on the swings.

and David swung.
The park was big so it was hard to keep Katie and David together. David's a lot faster than Katie when it comes to getting on the equipment and things, so she couldn't keep up.

David walked all around the park on the pole fence.
and then in the playground area.
Katie went back for more swing action.
It was a really nice day. Afterwards, I came home, and have all kinds of stuff to do. I'm really busy tonight. Trying to do laundry, list some things on eBay, clean up a bit....I have a long night ahead of me.

Katie's Kitty

Katie took her kitty for a walk tonight, while I was babysitting her. She still loves her kitty. It's ceramic, so I don't think he will be around for long. He's already got a chip in his ear. I don't know why she likes this kitty so much. Maybe because it's the only one she can catch.

Here she is, making sure he's comfy.

Kitty looks embarassed.

He's Just Not That Into You

I saw He's Just Not That Into You last night with my friend Ronica. It was a cute movie.
I have only been to the movies once this year, so it was nice to get out.

Today I have work, and I don't want to. BLAH! Don't make me go!

The Red Hat Club and Dust Bunnies

I got Katie a new hat, actually two, for when she goes to South Carolina. We're planning to go to the Magnolia Plantation and gardens and I thought that a hat would be cute for her to wear. Last night she tried on the hat. She likes hats. The other one is yellow and has a daisy on it. Both are from Gymboree.
Katie has had a perpetual boogie nose for a couple of months. She also fell last week and scraped her nose up pretty good. She was going down the slide in the backyard and hit concrete. She also had a bruise on her cheek. Notice Wubbzy in the background. Wow Wow has consumed her.

She tries to put the hats on herself.
Tada...she did it. Hopefully, in March, we'll have a boogie free day.
In the meantime, she was walking around wearing my shoes last night. From the pictures, I can see that I need to dust....very much so.

Couldn't sleep

I woke up at 3:00 this morning. I couldn't sleep. I think I got messed up from going to the gym so late at night. Maybe if I had soaked in a hot tub afterwards, I would have been better, but because I got my heart going at night, I just had more energy and it messed me up. I feel asleep about 11:00, woke up at 3:00, which means I only slept 4 hours. Those were not peaceful hours either. I was tossing and turning most of the night, so I probably only slept about 2 hours. I have a headache now.

Friday the 13th

I had such a fun day today. I had to go to Bakersfield today, then to Montclair, back to Bakersfield, and then home. It snowed in the Grapevine again. I had just a really good day. The boy I was transporting was such a nice kid and we had a good time. On the way home I just relaxed with the radio.

I'm tired though. I started work at 5:00 a.m.

Tehachapi Drive

From my window. Cows grazing.
Murray Farms
Rain clouds in Rosamond
On the 58 Freeway
Murray Family Farms
I had to drive through Tehachapi for work the other day. I just had the best time. I had a book on tape, "The Christmas Blessing", stopped by a fruit stand for a delicious orange, and the view was breath-taking. I had to go through the grapevine and snow flurries were coming down like feathers against my windshield. The grass was so green it looked artificial. The sky was turquoise and just beautiful. I really enjoyed myself.

Katie LOVES trains. I can't wait to take her here.
Desiree, Mary and Heather are going to Britney Spears the same day so they'll have to leave right after the train ride. I'm still looking forward to it.

Los Angeles Zoo

Mary and Heather went to Travel Town the other day. Katie LOVED it and so did David. They had a great time, riding the horses and going on the trains.
Heather has been taking Katie to the park a lot now that she's home with her.
I thought it might be fun to take Katie to the Los Angeles Zoo, since we had so much fun at the Santa Barbara Zoo the last time we went.

Well, the Los Angeles Zoo was not fun.

It was hot, crowded, and you couldn't see the animals. The crowds were so large that you couldn't get to the front. We took Katie in her little pink car and she had more fun just pushing that around.

We only stayed for about an hour, then we took Katie across the street to the Autry Museum. To the right of it there was a horse pen and grass area. We let Katie run around in that area for a while, so to get rid of some energy. She had the most fun right there.

She kept going through the fence at the horse pen and peek-a-booing us. She then found a stick and thought that was just the best thing ever.
She played with that stick for a long time, hitting trees with it, swinging it, using it as a cane.
At one point, she stopped what she was doing, went to her little car, pulled out a diaper and wipies and brought them to Heather for a diaper changing. She's getting so big.
But then she went right back to playing with the stick. She found a couple smaller ones eventually.
On the way out, Heather gave her a dandelion and tried to show her how to make a wish.
She blew hard....
In the end, her wish was that she could get those pesky furry things out of her mouth.
