Being a home owner is expensive

My water pipe in the garage broke again. I eventually need all new pipes, which will run me about $3500. I've been saving up to get those, but am not anywhere near being able to afford them yet. I'm just believing God to get me through this. I have cold water, but no hot water and I don't know when I'll be able to afford to get my pipes fixed.

Everything keeps going up in price. The water, electricity, trash, food, gas.

It takes just one catastrophe to put me in the same place so many people are in right now--losing their homes.

It's just hard to make it anymore.

I am a chosen one

I was picked by Turquois to do this:

Four jobs I have held:- Coca Cola, Painted Hearts & Friends, DCFS, Baker's Square. I loved all of them.

Four movies I could watch over and over: Hope Floats, Never Been Kissed, Cinderalla Story, Grease

Four places I have lived:- N. El Monte, S. El Monte, Huntington Park, Palmdale

Four TV shows I like:-Judge Judy, American Idol, America's Next Top Model, Survivor

Four favorite foods:- Avocados, pizza, french fries, pasta

Four places I would rather be:-Seal Beach, Hawaii, Maine, Monterey

I'm suppose to pick 4 people to do this but I have no readers :(

Heather, go ahead. LOL

The Sandbox

Katie played in her sandbox last night. She seemed to enjoy it. Mary got it for her for her birthday. We haven't put sand in it yet, so I just threw in some balls that I had from her birthday party until I get time to go down to get the sand. It was dark outside, so the pictures aren't too clear. She had fun though. She clapped for appreciation and dragged Drowsy in and out for a while, then she decided to throw the balls out and let grandma go fetch em' all.

Katie's first birthday

This is a video we showed at Katie's 1st Birthday party. The party turned out nice, minus the mulberries.

Katie is an interior decorater

Katie loves shelves. She's always taking things off and moving them. Yesterday, on route to her routine of throwing everything on the ground, she passed by the shelf and noticed that something was missing, so she added her bit of color to fancy the place up.

Katie

Pretty much walks now. She has been walking all over the house today. She walks more than she crawls now. Not for long distances, but she gets where she wants to be.

:)

I love her.

1st trip to Drytown

Katie went to Drytown today for the first time. She even got her own season pass with her picture on it. It was free, but she needed it in order for us not to have to wait in line. It doesn't make sense, but whatever. Her ID picture is hilarious. She wouldn't stay still for the picture.

She had a good time. At first it was too cold for her, but then she started to like it. She especially liked the lazy river.

Katie loves Drowsy

Katie loves her little doll. I got it at a yard sale for 50 cents. When you squeeze her tummy, she giggles or asks for water.

Yesterday Katie went over to her toy box, pulled open the drawer, ignored everything except her baby, dragged it out, and hugged it. LOL. She's a silly girl.

by the way, the patio is almost done

Still need to add the roof and do another layer of paint. The tiles for the roof are on the floor now. And the blue tape on my windows will be removed. lol.

I'll get you my pretty!!!

I have been so busy lately, I feel almost like I've been in a tornado. I am trying to get things ready for Katie's birthday, cleaning up the house, working a full week, driving here and there all week, and just not having time to do what I need to do. Then my cousin wanted me to make invitations for her son's birthday and I just don't know how to find the time to do everything.

I feel like the week has flown by. Actually, the whole year!

I need a vacation.
