We took Katie to the pumpkin patch yesterday. She had a good time. It was nice and breezy. I LOVE it.
She picked out a pumpkin and decided to roll it around like a ball.
It was much harder to get her to pose this year. Last year was simple. She was so tiny. She's grown so much in a year.
She seemed to enjoy picking them up. I think she thought they were balls.
Katie and I. HUGS.
She kept trying to hug the goats. They kept trying to escape.
She had tickets for the swings.
She went on the swings twice. SHE LOVED THEM. She giggled and laughed and didn't want to get off.
She finally decided on a bigger one but she couldn't lift it.It was a nice day. The weather was a little nippy, but I had a great time. We just relaxed and let Katie have the run of the place and let her just walk around. Katie likes walking around and exploring on her own. She was wearing a Dora shirt and everytime I would say, "where's Dora?" she would point to it on cue. She knew the difference between Dora and the Pumpkin. I didn't even know she knew who Dora was, but apparently she likes her.
We got Pumpkin Carving Kits for Heather and this new Light Bright type of pumpkin kit for Dave Dave. It's called Deluxe Kids Fright Lights. You hammer them into a hallowed out pumpkin with a small wooden mallet that comes in the set.
Heather made me a pumpkin like the one pictured below, last year. I took it to work for our Halloween Party. She's great at carving pumpkins. The ghost below is a sample of how Dave Dave's kit is supposed to work.
We're going to get the pumpkins at Wal-Mart because they were too expensive at the patch.
