Los Angeles Zoo

Mary and Heather went to Travel Town the other day. Katie LOVED it and so did David. They had a great time, riding the horses and going on the trains.
Heather has been taking Katie to the park a lot now that she's home with her.
I thought it might be fun to take Katie to the Los Angeles Zoo, since we had so much fun at the Santa Barbara Zoo the last time we went.

Well, the Los Angeles Zoo was not fun.

It was hot, crowded, and you couldn't see the animals. The crowds were so large that you couldn't get to the front. We took Katie in her little pink car and she had more fun just pushing that around.

We only stayed for about an hour, then we took Katie across the street to the Autry Museum. To the right of it there was a horse pen and grass area. We let Katie run around in that area for a while, so to get rid of some energy. She had the most fun right there.

She kept going through the fence at the horse pen and peek-a-booing us. She then found a stick and thought that was just the best thing ever.
She played with that stick for a long time, hitting trees with it, swinging it, using it as a cane.
At one point, she stopped what she was doing, went to her little car, pulled out a diaper and wipies and brought them to Heather for a diaper changing. She's getting so big.
But then she went right back to playing with the stick. She found a couple smaller ones eventually.
On the way out, Heather gave her a dandelion and tried to show her how to make a wish.
She blew hard....
In the end, her wish was that she could get those pesky furry things out of her mouth.
