Relaxing Day at the Park

Mary and I took Katie, David, Hannah & Madison to the park today, off of "S". It's just a small neighborhood park, with no swings, but two sets of equipment. Madison is starting to sit up by herself now. Here she is, sitting on a bench. In just 70 years from now, she'll be on a bench again, balding with no teeth, and a pot belly. LOL. Funny how life comes full circle.
Katie did good with climbing up the tower thing to get up and down. She's trying to be independent now and likes doing things on her own.
Katie gave Madison a hug
and gave her a pacifier. Madison looks grateful. LOL
Hannah and David liked playing with the colored sand Mary got at a yard sale. Katie wasn't as interested.
they played for this for a while, and then some kids came and wanted to play too.
It went from 2 kids playing with sand
and funneling it
into a much larger crowd.
After the sand was all gone, they all ended up playing tag together. Katie and Hannah were playing too, but they never knew who was it or where they were going. LOL. They just ran around.
The kids said they might return again tomorrow. Every time we go to this small park, the kids seem to meet friends. They were so funny when it was time to go. They hugged our kids and told them good-bye. They asked Hannah, "are you Hannah?" She said, "yes". They asked Katie, "are you Katie". She answered back, "I'm Katie". Then they hugged them good-bye.
Madison just sort of hung out.
It was a nice, relaxing night. Afterwards, we took them to McDonald's to get chicken nuggets. Hannah just wanted an ice cream cone. After they ate, Katie and David went into the McDonald's play place for a few minutes, and then I took Katie home. She was so exhausted! She took her little Happy Meal kitty home with her.
